Bhubaneswar: Dept. of CMFM, AIIMS Bhubaneswar along with the staff of CHC – Mendhasala, Khordha celebrated World TB Day 2021 on March 24, at CHC Mendhasala and Anganwadi centre of Godibari village.
Each year, we commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of TB, and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic.
The theme of World TB Day 2021 – ‘The Clock is Ticking’ –conveys the sense that the world is running out of time to act on the commitments to end TB made by global leaders.
The programme consisted of Exhibition at CHC Mendhasala, Village rally, Folk show by Chakulia Panda, Role play by school children, Health education by Dr. Binod K Patro, Dr. Manish Taywade, Dr.Priyamadhaba Behera, Senior Resident – Dr. Subhakanta Sahu, Junior Residents, Intern Doctors and Health workers of AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Superintendent of CHC Mendhasala – Dr. Mohan Hembram, STS and PHEO of CHC Mendhasala delivered their speech on various Health programmes related to TB and public health.
The programme ended with prize distribution, refreshments and a vote of thanks by the staff of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
