New Delhi: Congress senior leader Ahmed Patel, Swami Agnivesh, waterman Rajendra Singh, Odisha MPs participated in Mahanadi Banchao Andolan at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
MPs from BJD, Congress like Ahemed Patel, Digvijay Singh, Ranjib Biswal, Prasana Acharya, Dr Prasanna Patasani, Sarojini Hemram, Rabindra Jena, Jhina Hikka, N. Bhaskar Rao and Swami Agnivesha, Dr Rajendra Singh, Debiprasad Mishra, Bisnu Mohanty, Rutuparna Mohanty, Youth Congress leaders supported our Dharana today.
Since Tuesday, people from different walks of life under the banner of Mahanadi Banchao Andolan on have been protesting at Jantar Mantar pressing their demand for protection of Mahanadi vis-à-vis the interest of Odisha.
During the last three days, leaders from various political parties, including BJD, BJP and Congress visited the dharna site and demanded immediate halt of projects being undertaken by the Chhattisgarh Government upstream Mahanadi.
