Due to pandemic of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), lockdown was imposed throughout the Country.
As a result, marketing of Horticultural Produces became difficult for the farmers in some areas of the State. The horticultural produces like fruits, vegetables, spices etc are highly perishable in nature. This website (odihortmarketing.nic.in) is dedicated to the farmers of the State to facilitate the easy and timely marketing of highly perishable commodities by the farmers and traders of the State.
The available quantity of surplus Horticultural produces in all 30 districts of State will be uploaded in the Website by the respective District level Horticulture officers which can be assessed by the traders/aggregators. The traders/FPOs/aggregators in turn will contact the Horticulture Officers and will purchase the commodities directly from farmers/FPOs. The Horticulture farmers can get better price of their produces within a stipulated time and reduce post harvest losses.
Detail list of more than 1500 traders dealing Horticultural produces has been uploaded in the website. The traders will be informed about Website address through SMS/email,thereafter they will access the availability districtwise/product wise information from the website.
