Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: After scrutinizing and ending of withdrawal of nomination papers as many as 9 candidates were remained in elections fray for Jagatsinghpur reserved Lok Sabha seat and 29 aspirants for the 4 Assembly Constituencies [AC] spreading Jagatsinghpur district officially declared on Tuesday, elections are scheduled to be held on May 29.
According to official sources informed that the candidacy of the 9 aspirants nomination papers filed for Jagatsinghpur reserved Lok Sabha seat declared valid, none of them withdrew their candidature at the end of withdrawal of nominations, The 9 candidates were in elections officially declared as Dr Rajashree Mallick [BJD], Pratima Mallick [INC],Bibhu Prasad Tarai [BJP], Anil Kumar Behera [FAPI],Piuyash Das [API],Dipak Kumar Das [Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasava], Jagannath Megha [JP Janata Dal] Bibhuti Majhi [BSP] and Sasmita Das as an independent contestant.
For the 101 Paradip Assembly seat 9 candidates are contesting they were officially declared as Sampad Chandra Swain [BJP], Arindum Sarkhel [INC], Sambit Routray [BJD],Anjan Mallick [BSP], Dipti Ranjan Nayak [AJC] Birendra Kumar Sahoo, Balaram Maharana, Sriballahb Kar and Anup Kumar Patnaik as independent aspirants.
In Tirtol reserved assembly seat only 4 candidates were at elections fight, they were identified as Bishnu Das, [BJD], Devi Prasad Mallick [INC], Ramakanta Bhoi [BJP] and Ravindra Sethy [BSP].
The 9 candidates are contesting for the 103 Balikuda- Erasama Assembly segment they were named as Raghunandan Das [BJD], Damodar Rout [BJP], Lalatendu Mohapatra [INC], Bikram Swain [RBC], Mrutynjaya Swain [ASP], Birabar Dalai [ICP], Umakanta Parida [ Kalinga Sena] and Bikram Mohanty and Manas Ranjan Kar both independents.
For Jagatsinghpur assembly constituency 7candidates in elections race, they were named as Chiranjib Biswal [INC] , Prasanta Kumar Muduli [BJD], Satyabrata Mohapatra [BJP], Parina Bibi [BSP], Soubhagini Behera [JP Janata Dal], Nrusingha Barik [ICP] and Prabir Kumar Lenka.
