52nd FHARI Convention at Bangalore, Odisha Tourism Minister invites investors to investment in hospitality sector

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda has extended invitation to investors in the tourism and hospitality sector in Odisha, citing the report of the Planning Commission he said that Indian hospitality sector is 2nd largest employer in the country.
Panda was addressing 52nd Golden Jubilee Celebration of Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association (FHRAI) in Bangalore. Panda stated that Odisha has immense tourism potential and predominantly famous as a cultural destination which is deep routed since millennia.
Elaborating ontourist footfalls in the state, ethnic tourism, Buddhist tourism, Eco-tourism, MICE-Tourism, Sri Panda said that Odisha, off late, has emerged as one of the major investment destinations in the country and specifically, the hospitality sector is growing at a faster pace.
With implementation of attractive industry friendly Tourism Policy-2016, and Government’s commitment to be equipped with special tourism area like Shamuka Project near Puri, Odisha tourism has fast track basis single window committee for speedy clearance of tourism projects, he said. Sri Panda invited hoteliers to invest in Odisha to completely realize their business aspirations.
` The FHRAI convention was attended by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Union Minister Ananth Kumar, Karnatak Industries Minister Sri Deshpandy and other distinguished guests, participants along with office bearers of the federation. Power Point Projection on Odisha Tourism was made to woo tourists to the State. Sri Subrat Panda and Dr. Sunil K.Patnaik also represented Odisha Team.
