5 more Shramik Special trains carrying Odisha migrants to reach today

Bhubaneswar: The Railways ran five more ‘Shramik Special’ trains carrying Odisha migrants from other States on Thursday.

Official sources said a train departed from Coimbatore and two trains left Surat. The trains would reach Bhadrak and Jagannathpur (Ganjam district) on Friday.

Besides, a train that left Morbi in Gujarat and another that departed from Bibinagar-Secunderabad in Telangana are scheduled to reach Baleswar on Friday also.

On Thursday, a train carrying migrants from Surat was received at Baleswar and another at Khurda Road. Besides, two trains from Morbi, one from Terupur in Tamil Nadu and another from Namburu in Andhra Pradesh reached Baleswar on Thursday.

A train from Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh arrived at Bhadrak.

A total of 37 ‘Shramik Special’ trains have arrived in Odisha till May 13, said Railways sources.
