48th National Safety week celebrated Safety oath taken by Workers

 

Dhamra: 48th National Safety week is being celebrated from 4th March to 11th March at Dhamra Port premises under the guidance of Dhamra Port Authority. A rally has been organised by flagging off the Safety Flag on 4th March by Port Operational Officer Sudeep Dasgupta. Workers took an oath for safety. Port workers as well as labourers took part in this rally by giving various safety slogans to spread the awareness. The workers of several departments of Port focused on disciplinary workforce.

Various motivational programmes are being initiated by the Port Authority on this occasion. The week long programme consists of safety measures like safety plea, first-aid training, safety rally, safety quiz competitions; mass awareness program followed by spot quiz for shop floor employees, training ob Basic First-aid for ladies of township, fire drill by DPCL fire team, rescue drill & demonstration of equipment, discussion on case studies for employees etc.

Port Authority appealed that workers and their family should participate in this programme. The prize will be distributed on 11th of March to the winners of various competitions. The rally was smoothly coordinated by Subrat Mandal, Dhamra Port Safety Officer and other port workers.
