2019 Boston Marathon to Stream LIVE on Monday, 15 April at 1 p.m. UTC on the Olympic Channel

 

Madrid: The Olympic Channel global digital platform will provide LIVE online coverage of the 123rd Boston Marathon on Monday, 15 April 2019 starting at 1 p.m. UTC. Coverage of this prestigious marathon will be available in select countries in Asia*, Central America and Mexico, India, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and Oceania (including Australia and New Zealand) at olympicchannel.com and its mobile apps.

The world’s oldest annual marathon will showcase a field of 30,000 runners tackling the historic 26.2-mile course in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, including many of the sport’s elite marathoners and wheelchair racers.

The elite field features defending champions Yuki Kawauchi (JPN) and Olympian Desiree Linden (USA). Several other Olympians and past champions of the global running community’s premier event will challenge the defenders including 2017 champion Geoffrey Kirui (KEN), Rio 2016 bronze medallist Mare Dibaba (ETH), three-time Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein (USA) and Krista Duchene (CAN).

In the wheelchair division, defending champions Marcel Hug (SUI), a four-time Boston champion and eight-time Paralympic medallist, and Tatyana McFadden (USA), a five-time Boston champion and 17-time Paralympic medallist, return along with 10-time Boston champion and eight-time Paralympic medallist Ernst van Dyk (RSA) and two-time Paralympian and last year’s Boston runner-up Susannah Scaroni (USA).
