20 students of Odisha-based KISS to pursue their graduation in 3 Universities of China

Bhubaneswar: 20 students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) will pursue their graduation (+3) in three Universities of China, which will begin from the upcoming semester. For the first time in the history of tribal and education history in China, 20 tribal students shall pursue Bachelors Degree in China and assured job placement after graduation.
These students will be given a course in Mandarin in the initial year and then will be allowed to take up the course of their choice. The College shall ensure placement for these students in top Chinese Multinational Companies having its offices in India. This is for the first time that the tribal students will get education and job in an MNC through an International Scholarship programme in such large numbers.
Founder of KISS Prof. Achyuta Samanta had signed MoU with Yangzhou Polytechnic College besides few other educational institutions during his recent visit to China. As per MoU Prof. Zhou Sheng, General Secretary, YPC, they agreed to provide scholarship to 20 students from KISS.

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS – www.kiss.ac.in), a sister concern of KIIT, is the largest free residential Tribal Institute in the world. It provides education from KG to PG to 25,000 poorest of the poor tribal children. KISS has been globally acclaimed as an effective model of tribal empowerment through education. Earlier, KISS Students have excelled both in academic, sports and other curricular activities. Many KISS students have cleared Medicine, Law, and Management etc. and selected for study in IIT, NIT and IIMs through various prestigious national level entrance examinations. It is matter of pride that KISS students will pursue higher education in China.
