15,000 youth to participate in mass yoga at Janata Maidan; PNG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be chief guest

Bhubaneswar: Janata Maidan is ready for mass yoga session to be practised by more than 15,000 youth on 3rd International Yoga Day to be observed on 21st June 2017, said the organising committee members.

A mock drill was conducted on 20th June for this mega event. It was conducted for smooth management of yoga session; entry and exit of the participants, seating arrangements, the distance between participants to be kept during yoga session etc have been reviewed.

Neheru Yuva Kendra Society (NYKS) and NCC are participating actively in this initiative of all Oil marketing companies. 18 Yoga Instructors of different Yoga institutes of Bhubaneswar will impart yoga training as per the protocol on this International Yoga Day.

Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India will be the chief guest of the programme and Mananiya V Bhagaiah Ji, Akhil Bharatiya Saha Sarkaryabaha Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha will be the chief speaker and inaugurator of this Yoga session.

During this mock drill, Yoga instructors highlighted the importance of yoga in everyone’s life and said Yoga is the best practice to make the entire universe healthy and it’s a noble contribution of saints and sages of our country. With the efforts of our Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, yoga has got national accreditation, for which we are grateful and proud. If everyone will practise yoga for one hour every day, then they would not have to go to doctors, said yoga teachers.
