Raipur: As a precautionary measure to prevent corona virus from spreading, total 1478 prisoners have been released from various jails of the state. This includes release of 427 prisoners on interim bail of less than three months, 742 prisoners released on interim bail of more than three months, 262 prisoners released on parole, and 46 prisoners who have completed their sentenced period of imprisonment. It is noteworthy that for prevention of corona virus, government has decided to decrease the number of prisoners in jails.
