Bhubanswar: 1.5 crore people affected & 5,08,467 houses damaged in Odisha in Cyclone Fani. a total of 87 lakh animals & birds affected, 34.52 lakh killed; 41 human casualties, maximum 21 deaths reported in Puri district. This was informed by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) .
It should be noted that the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani hit the Odisha coast on May 3 left a destructive trail it the state.
