Hyderabad: Freedom Refined Sunflower oil in association with EventsNow and Hyderabad 10K Run Foundation announced the 15th Edition of “Freedom Hyderabad 10K Run 2017” scheduled on 26th November 2017. The Freedom Hyderabad 10K Run is designed to promote health, fitness and sports culture among the people. This year’s Run campaign theme #ReasontoRun encourages the participants to identify their motivation to Run. Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary – Government of Telangana, Dr.B. Janardan Reddy, GHMC Commissioner, Mr. Vijaya Devara Konda (Movie: Arjun Reddy Fame), Dr. Murali Nannapaneni- Race Director, Mr. Shyamgopal Nallapareddy, Hyderabad 10K Foundation, Mr. P. Chandra Shekhara Reddy Vice President Sales & Marketing, GEF India, Mr. Raj Pakala, CEO, EventsNow, along with other dignitaries unveiled the logo for Freedom Hyderabad 10K Run 2017 and announced the launch of its 15th Edition.
“Freedom Hyderabad 10K Run2017” will be organized in Hyderabad on 26thNovember 2017 at Necklace Road and is expected to see 15,000+ runners (Elite & Amateur) . Hyderabad city will be witnessing enthusiastic participation from runners across India and overseas with an objective to run and celebrate the spirit of Hyderabad and spread the message “Every Step Counts”. Celebrities and people from all walks of life are expected to attend the event and promote their #ReasonToRun . Each 10K RUN participant will receive a T-shirt, Medal & Timing Certificate.
Speaking at the occasion Dr. Murali Nannapanni, Race Director Freedom 10K Run said “Freedom Hyderabad 10K Run is designed to celebrate the spirit of Hyderabad and promote running as a primary form of fitness along with a healthy lifestyle . This year , meticulous planning and efforts have been taken to improve quality of the event & runner Experience to match the Global Standards. The race will have 3 primary categories, Elite 10K Run, Open 10K Run with Timing chip and Open 5K Run. The Elite 10K run will be open to professionals who have completed the 10K run in 36 min (men) and 45 min (women) in the last 1 year. Each Runner will be provided with a kit at the Expo on 25th November 2017.”
Speaking at the occasion, Mr.Jayesh Ranjan, IT-Secretary, Govt of Telangana said, “ We would like to invite people from all spheres of life to actively participate in the Run. We would like to especially call upon Corporates, Housing communities, Schools & Colleges to register in large numbers to come forward and participate in the Run. The people who are participating stand a chance to win an overall prize money upto 10 Lakhs + in various categories of Elite Runners, Women , Veterans etc. We really look forward to such events which are essential to promote a fitness culture and help the people lead a happy and healthy life ”
