Xavier School of Rural Management organizing annual 3 day Rural Marketing Fair – Gramotsava’18 on 28 – 30 October 2018

Bhubaneswar: Xavier School of Rural Management in association with the Rural Managers’ Association of XSRM, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar will be organizing its annual three-day Rural Marketing Fair – Gramotsava’18 on 28 – 30 October 2018. This year, the location for the event will be Chilika Club Field, Tangi, Khordha, Odisha.
Gramotsava was first started in the year 2006, with the purpose of spreading awareness among the rural population and making them aware of the modern technologies which can be used to bridge the gap between the rural and the urban.
The event comprises of three phases: Adi Parva (Pre fair phase), Madhya Parva (Fair day), Iti Parva (Post fair phase). The main objectives of the fair will be the promotion of products and concepts among rural masses in partnership with business and social organization. The second and the third day will comprise of exposure to the rural market in the villages.
The fair will give the institute an opportunity to associate with the esteemed corporate and social entities like TAFE, Spring Health, Mahindra and Mahindra, Anmol Biscuits, IFFCO, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motor Corp, Godrej Agrovet, LIC ICICI Lombard, UNICEF and many more. These companies show mutual interest in sponsoring for this flagship event so that they can penetrate deeper into the rural market and promote their companies’ services and products among the rural consumers. The active participation of these companies provide insights to the students about the actual functioning of their organizations.
Like every year, this chapter of Gramotsava will also aim at providing extensive opportunities to delve into the rural market. The event has always been a success and legacy of Xavier School of Rural Management.
