Bhubaneswar: Winter session of Odisha Assembly ends 18-day before the scheduled closure. The Winter Session was scheduled to continue till December 15. Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat adjourned the session sine die 18-day before the schedule after government chief whip Amar Prasad Satpathy moved a motion in this regard. Satpathy moved the motion stating that there was no pending official business to discuss. Later, the Speaker accepted it.
It should be noted that the Winter Session had begun on November 16. The session had 23 workdays of which only five workdays were conducted.
