Bhubaneswar: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee today meets Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar. Both Naveen Patnaik and Mamata Banerjee said the meeting was just a courtesy call.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee paid tributes to Biju and Gyana Patnaik by presenting a bouquet before their pictures.
“I’m very glad that honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal came to pay a courtesy call today,” said Naveen and denied having any political discussion with Mamata. “I’m deeply honoured that Naveenji gave me time. I knew his father Biju Patnaik very well and he was very fond of me. He had helped me by sending an aircraft for a Women and Child meeting when I was a minister of State,” said Mamata. As neighbouring states it is good to keep in touch. Politics is 365 days process but I wish Naveen good health and that his party should do better,” she further added.
Regional parties stay in touch always, but today we didn’t discuss politics said Mamata Banerjee after meeting CM Naveen Patnaik.
