We4you & Laser Vision Organized Football Match for Underprivileged

Bhubaneswar: LASER VISION & WE4YOU jointly organized a two day Football training camp & talent hunt program for the underprivileged kids under which a match was played between the Govt high school of Unit-1 and Unit-6 on 23rd July, 2017 at Kishore Club, Bhubaneswar where a large crowd gathered cheering for both the teams.

The event was conceptualized by Sahil Sashi, a player from Arsenal Club, Delhi branch. Being a football lover & as his parents are from Odisha, his motive behind organizing this camp was to propagate football with children of all the strata of the society in Odisha.

Sahil Sashi, a resolute football player and has been playing football since the age of 8. He represented Arsenal Soccer Schools India in the Mare Nostrum Cup in Spain and also played for the academy in many leagues. He participated in various social activities for un-privileged children with various organisations.

As many as 30 underprivileged children participated from different foster care homes and schools of Bhubaneswar. Preparing the children for the match the team demonstrated the children with a video presentation on different skills of football. Football shoes, jersey and participation certificates were also provided to all the participants.The best performer was awarded with scholarship to pursue his career in football.

Senior dignitaries like Dr. Sourjya Ranjan Parija, President, Bhubaneswar Athletic Association, Mr. Umesh Patnaik, MD, Trishakti Builders and Mr. RK Mandal, Senior Football Coach were the guests of the event.

WE4YOU is a voluntary organisation serving for the visually challenged and under privileged children since last 7 years in Odisha, Delhi and Bengaluru. Bringing revolution for the education of visually challenged children this organisation converts text books to audio format making it easy for them to learn. It also works towards development of sports in Odisha.
