VibhaVani Odisha Chapter bagged 3 prizes at India International Science Festival (IISF-2018) begins in Lucknow

Bhubaneswar: National Social Organisations and institutions Meet a scientific interventions in social actions by Vijnana Bharti
(VIBHA)begins at the India International Science Festival with more than 500plus social organisations and
experts meeting at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow . Dr S K Varshney ,Advisor ,DST ,Shri A Jaykumar

NSOIM today inaugurated the two days event(5-6 Oct) of NSOIM.IISF-2018 with its focal theme “Science for
Transformation” is having 23 special events in its 4th edition. The program key note guest and speaker Dr
Dinesh Sharma ,Dy.CM of Uttar Pradesh .
The social organisations have brought significant delivery roadmap to enhance value in govt roles,
responsibilities and accountability towards its citizens and a mechanism for scientific transformations .Role
played by social organisations need to be enhanced with target focus 1000 social organisations to be enhanced to
10000 credible social organisations to be part of VibhaVani which would be non political nor religious in nature
but with vision to bring scientific transformation of India.
The two days event was packed with brain storming parallel sessions on Transforming India : Challenges &
Opportunities ,A Poster Display, Stall Exhibits and a Presentation by Heads of Social organisations from all
over India of VibhaVani State Offices and also by invited guest.

Income by 2022]
b- Women Empowerment & Child Development –[Title-Mother & Child-Health Issues ,Education and
Livelihood]
c- Skills & Entrepreneurship Development-[Title-Concerns and Issues of Skill Development Ecosystem
& Entrepreneurship Development]
d- Science for Transformation-[Technology Interventions, Innovations and Science Dissemination for
New India]
e- Emerging Trends in Social Sector-[New paradigm for Social enterprises, the road ahead]
IISF is conceivably the biggest platform in India that brings together students, researchers, artists and general
public and including social organisations to celebrate our nation’s achievements in science and technology. It is
a medium to encourage the young minds towards the field of science and to promote the networking of
stakeholders working towards the propagation of science and launch of www.Vikart.in a digital initiative of
VibhaVani.
Through this festival, VibhaVani Odisha Chapter had a 33 delegates Team representing a wide areas of social
interventions been carried out by social organisations in Odisha .It was not only a great event in itself but
Odisha Chapter Office lead by Shri Subhasis Sahoo State Coordinator has bagged three prizes. Best Presentation
in Thematic Sessions in Sustainable agriculture ,Water Resources Management and Environment(Shri Motilal
Reddy,(Secretary & Chief Executive –Suraksha) –Title-Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change ], Skills &
Entrepreneurship Development( Shri Shitikantha Parida(AVP Skills-ICE Foundation) –Title-Skilling Youth for
Better Employability and Best Poster award to ( Shri Mukund Sahu (Director –Bolangir Bikash Parishad )-
Title-Empowering Unskilled Unorganised Labour for Sustainable Development.
Major attention in IISF NSOIM 2018 was acceptance of Declaration by adopting One Village One Focal Theme
to achieve Integrated sustainable development model and provide scientific orientation and reach to the last mile
of the society .Encourage Social Innovation, entrepreneurship and Lab to Land connect for inclusive growth of
India by adopting specific Mission 2022 would be a focus of all VibhaVani State Chapters members
President of India Shri Ram NathKovind formally inaugurate the mega science festival on 6 October . Festival
concluded on 8 October with Shri Dr HarshVardhan and Nitin Gadkeri present for closing ceremony.
