Chandrasekharpur: A thrilling 3-day CBSE NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2017-2018 (Boys & Girls) organized by DPS Kalinga from 2nd -4th November 2017 at the Railway Indoor Stadium, Chandrasekharpur, BBSR finally drew its curtains. The participants from 8 Zones of CBSE affiliated schools were classified into 3 categories- under 14 (boys & girls) ,under 17 (boys & girls) and under 19 (boys & girls).
The event culminated with the Valedictory ceremony where the 500 participants received the participation certificates and the Winners and the Runners –up were felicitated with Gold , Silver & Bronze medals by DPS Kalinga Trustee Mala Mishra. Principal Anuradha Rakshit lowered the CBSE Sports flag amidst jubilation and applause in the presence of Executive Trustee Sunaina Patro and Academic Director Sarat Kumar Behura.
The Overall CBSE NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2017-2018 (Boys & Girls) Trophy was won by Gyan Mandir Public School. Delhi. The 1st Runners-up was Sinhgad Springdale School, Pune and the 2nd Runners-up was Mount Carmel School
Dwarka, Delhi.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Headmistress Swati Nath. It was truly a spectacular sight to see participants exhibiting their sportsmanship spirit and fair play under the supervision of National and International Refrees A.T.Rajeev , and Ms. Anjali Parappa K. The meet saw its conclusion with the National Anthem.
