Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requests CM Naveen Patnaik intervene in matter to open Odisha Niwas Canteen for Common Public

New Delhi: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today requested Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to intervene in matter to open Odisha Niwas Canteen for Common Public. Minister Pradhan on this regards writes a letter to CM Naveen Patnaik.

“Odia delicacies and cuisines are not only flavorful but also create a unique identity of Odisha in its own way. For more than 20 Lakh Odias living in Delhi-NCR, Odisha Niwas Canteen was the most favorite option to taste authentic Odia delicacies for years. Non-Odias too relished the tasteful Odia dishes and snacks served at Canteen. The Canteen had carved a niche for itself. Unfortunately, since 2016, the canteen has restricted the entry of public and kept the canteen open only for the in-house guests. Given an opportunity, most Odias in Delhi-NCR would feel privileged to visit the canteen to taste authentic Odia Dishes. Non-Odias would also get the real taste of Odia delicacies. Lately, I have been getting multiple requests on various social media platforms to get the Odisha Niwas Canteen opened for Public,” said Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in his letter.
Minister Pradhan requested CM Patnaik’s personal intervention in the matter to open the canteen for Common Public so that every Odia Food Lover can cherish it.
