Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan interacted with Gram Rojgar Sevaks (GRS) at Bhubaneswar today. GRS Staff Members are working with State Government and given bigger responsibility of delivery of Government programmes at Village level .
Its shocking that instead of hearing grievances and demands of these people they were brutally beaten up by police while protesting democratically yesterday. Even Female GRS staff members were beaten up by Male police. Expressed support for the demand for higher pay and other allied concerns and assured to take it up with Government of India. Urged Chief Minister and Panchayatiraj Minister to to hear Odia youths who are democratically protesting instead of using brute force against them. Since the final decision has to be taken by State Government appealed Chief Minister to hear the grievances and demands across the table, said Minister Pradhan.
