New Delhi: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today discussed the state of affairs at ASI protected sites in Odisha including Konark Sun Temple & Puri Jagannath Temple with DG ASI & other senior ASI officials. ASI officials apprised Minister Pradhan that their ongoing conservation efforts are as per international norms.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan advised DG ASI to proactively resolve functional issues with the State Government in the interest of promoting tourism in Odisha. Also spoke with Ch. Scy. (Govt. of Odisha) to facilitate ASI efforts in Odisha.
ASI also briefed Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan about new projects sanctioned for conservation of heritage sites at Haripur, Kualo, Ranipur-Jharial and Bajrakote in Odisha. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thank Dr. Mahesh Sharma for taking forward his request expeditiously.
