Bhubaneswar: Tigress ‘Ankita’ delivered two cubs at Nandankanan Zoological Park on Friday . The zoo authorities informed that Ankita delivered the cubs in enclosure No. 28 C at around 10:12 pm and 10:40 pm yesterday. The number of tiger population at the zoo has reached 26 including eight white tigers and two melanistic male ones.
The conditions of the tigress and the cubs were stable, zoo officials said. The activities of the mother tiger and the cubs are being observed by zoo staff through CCTV footage.
