Three finalists from Odisha in fray for KIIT Nanhi Pari Finale

Bhubaneswar: Bringing laurels for the State, three girls from Odisha have been selected for the Grand Finale of the coveted KIIT Nanhi Pari Little Miss India-2017 scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from December 29-30. Tanushree Rout, Janhavi Pathak and KR Santoshini have been selected from the regional audition which was held in KIIT campus on November 12. A total of 36 contestants have been selected from regional auditions held in 20 cities across India.

The Grand Finale of KIIT Nanhi Pari has been a splendid affair, attracting big names from the glamour industry. Chin U K Chong, International Beauty and Health General Union Governor; Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Transgender Rights activist and actor; Ven. Shim San eminent Spiritual leader from South Korea; Suchitra Iyer, Editor, Society Magazine; Rekha Khan, Feature Editor, Navbharat Times; Yash A Patnaik, Indian tele star; Barsha Priyadarshini, Eminent Odia cine actress and Sonika Roy, Miss India Asia Pacific will grace the occasion as distinguished guests.

For the 17th edition, the winner of the competition will walk away with Rs. 21 lakh – Rs. 3 lakh cash prize and 100% academic fee waiver subject to a maximum of Rs. 18 lakh for studying in any discipline in KIIT University. The 1st Runner Up will be accorded with a prize money of Rs.10 lakh – Rs. 1 lakh cash prize and 50% academic fee waiver subject to maximum of Rs. 9 lakh for studying any discipline in KIIT University. Similarly, the 2nd Runners Up would get Rs. 9.5 lakh – Rs. 50,000/- Cash Prize and 50% academic fee waiver subject to maximum of Rs. 9 lakh for studying any discipline in KIIT University.

The contestants will also be judged on several categories including Miss Rapunzel – girl with most beautiful hair, Miss Photogenic – girl with best pose in photoshoot round, Miss Selfie – Maximum likes on facebook page, Miss Fashion girl with best costume in both rounds, Miss Whizkid girl with highest marks in quiz round, Miss Cindrella girl having best personality, Miss Urvasi girl with Best Talent, Miss Catwalk girl with best ramp walk, Miss Monalisa most beautiful girl with most beautiful smile, Miss Active – most active girl in sports round.

“Nanhipari” is a national level talent hunt competition among young girls between the age group of 13-16 years, which made a modest beginning in 2001 in a remote tribal town of Kendujhar district in Odisha. In a short time-span of 17 years, it has become a talent hunt show of national repute and is touted to be Little Miss India.
