Bhubanewar: On 3rd Day in the Conference hall of Krishi Odisha discussions were held in 4 Sessions on the topic Agriculture 2.0 Eminent Scientists, Beurocrats and Technocrats from different disciplines put their valuable lectures on the technology that can be utilised for advanced Agriculture like precision farming in the coming years. In the afternoon session , the seminar on Agri-finance was organised. Eminent personnel from Banking and Finance sector shared their views on different financial aspects like credit linkage, Agriculture finance, Agribusiness Entrepreneurship etc. In this discussion about 300 farmers from different parts of Odisha participated and took part in the Questionnaire they faced in the field level. Today on dt. 17.1.2019 (3rd day) ,the farmers – Scientist Interaction was done on two topics i.e.1. Climate Change & Agriculture and 2. Ornamental Fish Farming. Experts namely Dr. A.K. Mohapatra ,OUAT, Sri N. Mallik, AAO and D. Paikray, DFID delivered lecture on different aspects of climate change and its effects. On Ornamental Fish Farming, experts from CIFA and Fisheries Deptt. , Dr. Saroj Kumar Swain, Principal CIFA &, Debananda Bhanja , Joint Director, Fishery discussed at length about different aspects of Ornamental Fish Farming Many Farmers took part in the interaction and get solution for their problems. Progressive Farmers interaction on dt.17.1.2019 was held in the 2nd conference hall of Krushi Odisha. More than 250 farmers from different districts of Odisha were participated. The participating farmers raised their basic problems on marketing of their produce and forced to sale their vegetables at low price. Some farmers expressed their views for fixation of MSP for vegetable crops. All the Participating Scientists as a whole emphasised on value addition, ICT in agriculture and land reformation for overall development of agriculture.
