Tata Steel’s Joda East Iron Mine awarded for exemplary Quality Management

Joda: Tata Steel’s Joda East Iron Mine bagged the “NALCO Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das Quality Award” for the year 2017 in the category of “Large Enterprise” in a function held at NALCO Bhawan, Bhubaneswar on May 11, 2017.
On behalf of Tata Steel, the award was received by Mr Rajesh Kumar, Head (Operation), Joda East Iron Mine, Tata Steel and Mr Nitin Thakur, Manager Improvement, Joda, Tata Steel from Padma Shri Dr Ravi Bhushan Grover, Homi Bhabha Chair Professor and Member, Atomic Energy Commission, Govt. of India, Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO and Mr S.K. Roy, Director (Project & Technical), NALCO.

Expressing gratitude on getting the award Mr Pankaj Satija, General Manager (OMQ), Tata Steel said: “We are pleased to be recognized with the NALCO Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das Quality Award. This prestigious state level award has been instituted by NALCO with the objective of recognising, appreciating and encouraging outstanding practices and results achieved by organisations from the state of Odisha through exemplary TQM practices in manufacturing.
