Kaniha: Tanvi Sangam’s Annual Fest “Tanvi Mahostav “ is being celebrated from January 27-28 , 2019 at PTS sports complex of NTPC Kaniha. This year mela theme was “Save Water ,Save Life”.
The mahastov was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt Anubhuti Sinha ,President ,Vashudha Mahila Mandal ,Bhubaneswar & Guest of Honour Shri M P Sinha Regional Executive Director(East II) in the august presence of Shri Santosh James,Chief General Manager ,Talcher Kaniha and Smt Vini James,President ,Tanvi Sangam , Shri M.Singh ,Chief General Manager,Talcher Thermal , senior officials of NTPC Eastern Region II and members of Ladies Tanvi Sangam.
The inauguration was followed by cake cutting ceremony and to mark the opening of mela, balloons & sky lantern balloons were released by the dignitaries and senior ladies club members. As part of tradition, artists of the tribal dance group were provided with winter clothes.
On this occasion bed and cots were distributed to destitute centre ,Gaham Ashram Welfare programme of Tanvi Sangam . Guests visited the food stalls of the ladies club members and enjoyed the delicacies of the variety of food items which was the main attraction of the mela.A selfie zone on creating awareness on “Save Water ,Save Life” was displayed in the mahastov.
In the evening ,Musical Progamme was held to uplift the spirit of Tanvi Mahostav which was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. Around 50 vendors from various areas like automobile, handicraft, spices, electronics, and garment etc took part in the mela.A CSR stall highlighting station CSR activities was also showcased on the occasion.
NTPC employees along with their family members and local villagers in very large numbers participated in the mela which concludes on 29.12.2016. During the closing day , in-house musical dance shows are planned to be organised which will be followed by lucky draw.
