‘The Tall Man Biju Patnaik’ – Book Presentation Ceremony at Mumbai

Mumbai, 2nd February 2018: A unique publication titled ‘The Tall Man Biju Patnaik’ on the life and time of illustrious and legendary statesman will be showcased in a Book Presentation Ceremony at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan Auditorium, near Mantralaya, Mumbai on 3rd February 2018 at 6 PM.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will preside over the function. Among other dignitaries, noted Indian classical flautist Padma Vibhusan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, eminent Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgeon and MD of Asian Heart Institute Padma Bhusan Dr. Ramakanta Panda, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Mr. Arup Patnaik and Director, Global HR & CEO, Carbon Black Business at Aditya Birla Group Dr. Santrupt B. Misra are set to grace the occasion.

The book will be reviewed by Subroto Bagchi, renowned author and Chairperson of Odisha Skill Development Authority.

Written by Sundar Ganesan, the book talks vividly about the daredevil acts of two time Odisha Chief Minister and former Union Minister Biju Patnaik, his revolutionary role in India’s freedom struggle and beyond, his contribution to major world events including the untold stories about the celebrated leader.

The Odia Communities and Associations living in Mumbai and nearby, corporate leaders, bureaucrats, policy makers, media personalities and a large section of Odisha’s political leadership will attend the function to accolade the legendary star.

The book ‘The Tall Man Biju Patnaik’ precisely showcased the mass leader and the unparalleled hero to millions of Odias. It was Biju Babu who laid the foundation for a progressive and economically prosperous Odisha by establishing industries, developing infrastructure, empowering women, uplifting the adivasis, backward communities and marginalized sections.

The book contains rare photographs which depict the life and times of Biju Babu and relevant documents from reputed sources which are a testimony to his exalted personality.
