#Taiwanese delegation met #Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, CPC to set-up of petrochemical unit for ₹43,000 crore in Paradip

Bhubaneswar: Taiwanese delegation led by CPC Corporation President Shun-Chin Lee met Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik at State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar today. Ahead of Make In Odisha Conclave 2018 in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik met delegation from CPC Corporation, Taiwan led by Chairman Mr Shun-Chin Lee. CPC proposed to set-up of petrochemical unit for ₹43,000 crore in the PCPIR region of Paradip. Highlights from the discussion:

• Resource-rich Odisha consistently ranked amongst top 3 states in terms of live manufacturing investments and implementation of industrial projects in India

• Odisha Industrial Development Plan 2025 has identified chemicals and petrochemicals as one of the six focus sectors

• Emphasis on providing a conducive business environment, industry-ready infrastructure and skilled workforce

Chief Minister Shri Patnaik assured all support for grounding of the proposed petrochemical unit in Paradip and called for greater Odisha -Taiwan cooperation in business and commerce in the days to come.
