New Delhi: Supreme Court granted bail to Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Raul. The apex court reportedly granted him bail him in two cases.
It should be noted that He was arrested on 8 August 2015. As of September 2015, the state police is investigating various charges against him. On 8 August 2015, Sarathi was arrested from his ashram. He was booked under Section 420 (fraud), 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code, and also under Arms Act, 1959 and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The woman was sent to her hometown Paradip and given police protection.
