Sudarsan Pattnaik’s “peace” message for Indo-China friendship

Report by Odisha Diary bureau; Puri: On the occasion of Friendship Day renowned sand artist Sudarsan pattnaik has created a sand sculpture on Indo China friendship with message “Peace”, at puri beach of Odisha.

Pattnaik has created a 5ft high sand sculpture where he shows the flag of both the country India and China with a dove , the symbol of peace . He has used about 5 tons of sand on this sculpture. “peace is the way for Friendship “ I appeal both India and China bring peace in their relationship through my art, said Sudarsan.

So far Padma Shri awarded sand artist Sudarsan has participated in more than fifty sand art championships and festivals around the world and won many prizes for our country. He always try to spread messages around the world through his art. His sand sculptures are basically based on current issues and on social awareness like climate change, World peace, Save environment, Swachh Bharat, free open dedication , HIV/ AIDS, endangered species olive ridley turtles etc.
