Rayagada: Agragamee , State Resource Centre for Adult and Continuing Education, Rayagada observed International Women Day at at Krushachandra Bhavan (Townhall) Rayagada. A meeting has organized and number of prominent women personalities of Rayagada like Mrs. Anesthesia Kerketa, ADEO, Rayagada, Mrs. Binodini Panda, Dist. Project Coordinator, SSA, Mr. Sulachana Behera, activists, Mrs. Manjushree Mukharjee, writer and social activists, participated and spoke on this occasion.
Mrs. Binodini Panda, DPC, SSA Rayagada spoke that in our ancient time, women member treated high respect in society But now the time has changed and women member face lot of problems There is need to change mindset of the people. Mrs. Sulochana Behera, shared that women member call to take lead role to change the society. She shared that if women member will take proper responsibilities at family level, the society will be change as ideal society. Mrs. Anasesthia Kerkeka, ADEO,spoke about the provision for girl child in education and facilities of open schooling system through distance education. Mrs. Pranati Patra, advocate spoke about the legal facilities related to women related issues. Among others, Mr. Majhushiree Mukharjee, Dr. Ramachandra Patnaik, Dr. Narendra Mishra, Villagers of Pitamahar, Beheraguda, Principal , lecture and students of Kabi Balaram Sankuntala Collage, Therubali, and more than one hundred personalities present on this occasion. Dr. Chandan Kumar Singh coordinating the meeting and spoke on the importance of the day.
Before the meeting started, an rally from Gajapati Junction to Krushna Chandra Bhavan has organized on this occasion. Students, members of self-help group, member of civil society, collage students, lecture, media personalities participated in the rally.
