Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: The Baba Balia Trust founder, spiritual Guru and preacher Baba Balia from Sishu Ananta Ashrama in Arilo under Tirtol block has opted to donate all his movable and immovable properties to Odisha Government.
Revealing his future plan in a press conference held in Ashram premises Baba said he has been sickened after knowing exploitation of so called religious gurus and Baba cult in country defaming Hindu religion.
Few religious pundits those have been actually working for the protection of religion have come under people’s censorship, religious faith among people have been declined causing influence of fraud Baba’s so I decided to leave Ashrama after donating its properties to government, Baba Balia informed.
Replying his future course of action Baba said no plan in his mind quitting social service, his works ongoing as environment protection, gender equality, organ donation, and fight against social evils, protecting Odia art and cultuer will continue as usual, moreover Baba pledged to donate his valuable body organs after death, he promised before the media persons.
Criticizing minister Maheswar Mohanty’s media remarks over anti Baba culture, Baba Balia viewed all Babas are not like Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh from Dera Sacha Sauda now in jail, Nityananda, Ram Pal, Asaram Bapu and his son Narayan Sai, Radhe Maa and Nirmal Baba few still have been trustworthy among people and accumulating thousands followers moreover he added like bad Baba’s few ministers are corrupt and not all, he is an adherent of father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi follower of renowned social activist Anna Hazare, he informed.
Report said that Baba Balia trust a religious philanthropy has been operating under able leadership of religious preacher Baba Balia in Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts past few decades, barring religious cult Baba Balia has been concentrating in social sectors like development of odia art, culture, literature, dance, music, folk songs etc.
few years back Baba Balia had organised a fest Ganatantra Gyana yagon in his Ashrama premises for strengthening democracy in country many prominent leaders cutting across party affiliations participated and the then chief minister late Janaki Ballhav Patnaik had inaugurated this three day event.
Every year Baba Balia trust organizes Pala and Naudi competitions, drama and folk music carnivals and youth fest in different occasions and organizes literary gathering on Odia language, his trust owns a Yatra troupe, planting trees for environment equilibrium has been recognized by several authorities, report said.
