South African high commissioner to India visited an eye camp in Odisha

Report by Akshya Rout, Jajpur: South African High Commissioner in India France K. Morule visited Bhoomika eye hospital at Jaraka and an eye camp in Patapura village under Dharmasala block of Jajpur district on Friday afternoon and interacted with locals and hospital authorities .

The eye camp was organised by Bhoomika eye hospital for carrying out eye tests for the local residents. “Last year I was a part of a high level business delegation with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his tour to Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya. During the visit of South Africa, the South African government took interest in our work and urged us to build eye hospitals in the country . We will build eye hospitals in Durban, Pretoria, Capetown and Johannesburg for which South African High Commissioner in India France K. Morule visited the eye hospital and eye camp in Jajpur district to gather first hand knowledge about our works” , said Dr Bhisma Rath the chairman of Bhoomika eye hospital.
