Social steward Saroj Kumar Dash bags Odisha Youth Inspiration Award for 2018

 

Bhubaneswar: Conspicuous youth social worker as well as the founder and national coordinator of “Kanya Anmol Hai” campaign, Shri Saroj Kumar Dash bagged the Odisha Youth Inspiration Award for 2018 at 8th Odisha Living Legend Award 2018 organized at the temple city of Odisha today. Odisha Diary Foundation conferred this prestigious laurel to Shri Dash in an effulgent event organized at the state capital.

Taking birth in a freedom fighter family of Balasore district, Odisha, Shri Dash has paved his strong heritage towards social services from the very beginning of his childhood. To ensure social justice to each and every acid attack survivor he has taken an initiative to stop acid attack and campaign for job assurance in government firm for acid survivors. Presently he has started “Kanya Anmol Hai” campaign to save, protect, respect girl child.

His father late Sanat Kumar Dash was in politics for a long period and was also in print media as a journalist while his mother was a home maker. Completed schooling from Sovarampur High School, Balasore, he joined Fakir Mohan College for higher studies where he elected as the President and Vice-President of Fakir Mohan College Students’ Union. From then he infiltrated into political fields and took an initiate for North Odisha University after which finally Fakir Mohan University established at Balasore. He also completed LLB, PG Diploma in Sales and Marketing from (Nimact), MBA in HR from Fakir Mohan University. During his students politics carrier he was an outstanding orator.

In a vibe to give equal justice to under privileged section of the society, he is also associated with North Odisha Social and Cultural Association (NOSACA) as the president of this group which is operating in the provinces of Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts to promote talent of students at Bhubaneswar by giving them equal opportunities to showcase their talents in national and international forums. Apart from it, he is also working for the sustainable socio-economic development of those regions. Nevertheless he is also working as the Secretary of Rotary Elite in Bhubaneswar.

Throughout his fruitful journey, he has achieved so many laurels for his phenomenal services to the society. He bagged the award of ‘Yuva Pratibha Samman’ from Ama News Channel while ‘Youth Icon Award’ was conferred to him by Odisha Youth Talent Society. He also achieved the awards of ‘Bipadara Bandhu’ from Balasore and ‘Achievers of Odisha’ by the leading English daily The Times of India, Times Group and ‘Adarsha Byaktitwa Samman’ at Ghasipura Raja Mahotsav Festival,Keonjhar.

Currently he is working in BPIL as a Cluster Head of Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand. His spouse Smt. Sasmita Dash a Rotarian has been helping him a lot throughout his successful journey. Writing poems and stories in the leisure time is a passion of him to enlighten the society through healthy information.
