The Sky Is Pink Leaves Marks On Audience’s Minds

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar starring “The Sky Is Pink” was released today and is warming up talks in towns. After two other big releases of this festive season- “War” and “Joker”, the anticipation has glued itself to see Priyanka in Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink”.

Priyanka was last seen in Bollywood’s silver screen in Prakash Jha’s “Gangajal”.

The Sky Is Pink stars Zaira Wasim as Aisha as the central narrator of the story. Aisha is the daughter of Aditi (Priyanka) and Farhan (Niren) who is fighting with ‘pulmonary fibrosis’, the late side effect of a genetic immune deficiency. Her parents had lost their first child to this disease. They do everything to tie both ends to save her but fail ultimately.

More than death, the theme deals with numerous shades of life- struggle, fight, survival, dealing, misunderstanding and finding pieces of happiness in ashes. Also, it leans to ‘grief’ for those who would be left behind.

Priyanka and Farhan have appeared together for the second time on screen after Zoya Akhtar’s “Dil Dhadakne Do”.
