Report by Nishapati Nayak; Koraput: Based on a comprehensive review of the prevailing situation and unanimous recommendations of the Heads/Head I/cs / Dept. I/cs. and Officials of the University, it has been decided by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty, that the teaching departments and the hostels of the university shall reopen on 2nd April 2018 and classes shall commence from 3rd April 2018.

The university has accepted most of the needs/demands of the students that are under its purview and will attempt to fulfil the same at the earliest. About the rest, such as infrastructure proposals and faculty recruitments pending with the MHRD and UGC, efforts will be made to secure an early sanction/approval of them at the earliest.

The Vice Chancellor has appealed to all the stakeholders, especially the students not to be swayed by rumours and false propaganda, to maintain peace, concentrate on their career and join hands with the university to take it forward.
