Kendrapara: Shipra Mallick, who filed nomination as independent candidate from Kendrapara Assembly constituency after being denied ticket by BJD. She will withdraw nomination. Mallick informs about decision after holding discussions with Naveen Patnaik.
Mallick said, “I had the interest to contest from Kendrapara Assembly seat, but I have always stated to abide by our party supremo’s decision. And honouring his direction, I’ve decided to withdraw my nomination.”
Mallick also averred her support to party candidate Sashi Bhusan Behera, the senior MLA-cum-incumbent Finance Minister of Odisha. She further added, “Sashi Bhai will be the MLA there, but I’ll work for the people.”
