Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader Dilip Ray hails Odisha Govt for exempting stamp duty on 11 ongoing railway projects, which would connect 29 districts of the State only barring Kandhamal.
He also appreciates the State Government’s act of exempting VAT on procurement of green gram and fixing a reasonable procurement price. Green gram farmers in the State would now get competitive prices for their produce which would encourage them to continue farming, he opines.
Enhancement of electricity duty from captive power plants would generate additional revenue for the State Government enabling it to reduce the gap between its earnings and expenditure, Ray also points out.
He further wishes the State Government to continue to take more prudent and rational steps for the State’s development.
