Cuttack: The second day of Orion sponsored by Utkalika, Haastika, Doha Bank, Sri Sri Tatva, Jaguar and Reliance Jio Digital, started with a bang as Asia’s largest content creation festival, the Indian Film Project hosted a film making workshop at the premises of Sri Sri University. Mr. Gaurav Dave from India Film Project conducted the workshop where he taught all the film-making basics to the participants from different colleges. They had also conducted an online video-making competiton whose results will be declared during Orion’s valedictory ceremony. “I got to improve my video-making skills and the learning quotient from this workshop was to the maximum. I am so glad that through Orion, Sri Sri University Igot the opportunity to learn cinematography from the best mentor.” said a participant of the Indian Film Project workshop.
The B-Fest events concluded with a Valedictory ceremony where Ms.Rajita Kulkarni, President, Sri Sri University handed certificates to the winners of the B-fest events. The B-Fest events mainly focused on testing the participant’s managerial skills in different fields like Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship etc. There were participants from different educational institutions all over the state.
Orion 2019’s second day also hosted Aalekhan, the wall painting competition where participants drew their thoughts and expressed their ideas through their wall paintings.
This day also marked the valedictory ceremony of the Cultural Ensemble of Hues, the International Art Festival where various artists from India and from several different had united to celebrate art.
Sri Sri University alumni were united through SAE Talks organized under the guidance of Mr. Barada Prasad Panigrahi. Students from previous year batches who have initiated their own start-ups inspired the audience with their stories and life experiences. Entrepreneurs like Dipankar Lamba, Utkarsh Jain, Kameshwar Kota, Bibhu Prusty, Aditi Salin and Harish Sarnam spoke on the dais. These 6 alumni also pitched there start up ideas to venture capitalist, Vivek Kumar from Venture Garage who showed interest to support start-ups related to renewable energy and agriculture.
The day ended with a main stage cultural competition named Avalon, the War of DJs, which was judged by DJs Progressive Brothers who are Sunburn Festival’s opening DJs since 2012. After the competition ended, Progressive Brothers performed for the audience gathered and made them grooved to their EDM music.
