Bhubaneswar: Dtd. 15/07/2018 : As a part of Vanomahotsav drive, The Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Heritage organised today morning, a Mega Plantation & Distribution Programme, followed by Health Check up camp for Sr.Citizens along with Nirmalya Sr Citizen’s Annual Function at Royal Public School, Campus, Kesura, Bhubaneswar in association with Plant Lovers Association & Nirmalya Sr. CITIZEN’S Association.
The programme was well attended by Chief Guest Mr Anup Sahu, IPS, DCP, BBSR, President Rtn Bishnu Mohan Mohanty, Secy. Rtn Basanta Kumar Sahoo, Rtn Dr P Srinibas & Mr Madhu Madhab Jena, President & Mr Jugal Kishore Sahu,General Secretary of Sr. Citizens Association.
About 100 Sr. Citizens attended this programme & planted about 100 nos. of fruit bearing plants & distributed about 200 nos. of such plants to all the Sr. Citizens for onward plantation by them.
Mr Sudhansu Adhikary, State Head of PATANJALI & Sister B.K Geeta from Prajapita Brahma Kumaries also addressed the Sr Citizens & shared their views for maintaining a healthy life.
The DCP, Bhubaneswar Mr Anup Sahu, also briefed about facilities extended by BBSR Police for Sr. Citizens & appreciated their efforts in promoting such Vano Mahotsav drive taken up by Rotary Club of BBSR Heritage & Plant Lovers Association.
President Rtn Bishnu Mohan Mohanty welcome all & informed that Rotary Club of BBSR Heritage has already organised two nos. of Plantation Programme, i.e. on 1st of July & 7th of July; where in more than 200 nos. of Fruit bearings has been planted. This is one of our successful ventures of our Club, besides Annapurna Project also provided free lunch for 150 tribal children of Simadri Mishra Janajati Chhatrabasa, Bhubaneswar on 1st of July last. We are also grateful to Sr. Citizen’s association, Plant Lovers Association for supporting Plants for the programme & High Tech Hospitals for extending free medical check ups for about 100 Sr. Citizens present today. The Secretary of Rotary Club of BBSR Heritage Sri Sahoo extended vote of THANKS to all for their active support for successful implementation of the programme & expected to continue in future also.
