Rotaract Club Of Byasabhoomi attempted Guinness World book record to spread awareness on Organ Donation

 

Jajpur: India is facing an acute shortage of Organ donation due to prevalence of myths & superstitions. In India 6,000 people need organ transplant each day, but only 2 to 3 percent of the demand for new organs is met.
Therefore Rotaract Club of Byasabhoomi has taken a step forward to create an awareness of organ donation to change the statistics of death causes in our motherland. We have taken a historical step i.e. attempting Guinness book of world records to form “Largest human image of an eye” with the help of school students. In this alarming situation we the youngsters are trying to spread this cause among the common citizen of India. The programme held at SaraswatiSishuVidyaMandir, Madhusudhan Nagar, Jajpur road on 10th of April 2018 at 7:00AM. Rotaract club of Byasabhoomi attempted to break the previous Guinness World book record of 2396 and today broke with 3710 number of students formed Largest human Image of an EYE . The representatives from Global Record Research Foundation confirmed the record as witness and certified the organsers instantly as Global Record holder.
“By this international Organization we wished to take the pride of Byasanagar at international Heights by serving the humanity. We are happy to share that a small town like Byasanagar is also serious about the social cause: ORGAN DONATION”, Abhilash Boitai, President, Rotaract Club Byasabhoomi“After this noble initiative, the Rotarians throughout the state will run a 90 days campaign to promote and register minium5,000 volunteer organ donors.”, DG Rtn. Ajay Agarwal, RI District 3262.The Rotary leaders Including DRCC Pravudatta Subudhi , DRR Smrutiranjan Biswal , Rotarian Punyaslok Mohanty ,Puspendu Jena and Abhaya Pati encouraged the students. Eminent personalities like MP Jajpur Smt Rita Tarai, Former Minister Sj Prafulla Ghadai, MLA Akash Dashnayak ,Pollice IG Soumendra Priyadarshi ,Collector Ranjan Ku Dash, SP CHaran Singh Minnar.
