Bhubaneswar: Governor and Chancellor Dr. S.C. Jamir appointed Prof. Atal Chaudhuri as Vice-Chancellor of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla today. In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub section (1) and (5) of Section 11 of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology Act, 2008 Chancellor Dr. Jamir appointed Prof. Chaudhuri as Vice-Chancellor for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier. Prof. Atal Chaudhuri is presently serving as Professor in Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Prof. Chaudhuri had Master of Engineering from Jadavpur University and later did Ph.D (Engineering) from the same University. He has a total period of over 32 years of teaching experience and out of this he has an experience of over twenty years as Professor. Regarding administrative experience he has served as Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in Jadavpur University. Prof. Chaudhuri co-authored 17 out of 125 publications of Research Papers to his credit. He guided 11 scholars to their Ph.D degree and another three have been submitted.
