Missing engineer‘s daughter appeals scuba diver to rescue father from sunken vessel in Orissa Coast

Report by Amarnath Parida; Paradip: ‘I hope that my father is still alive so I request you to rescue my father from sinking vessel – appealed Alexandra Ilyushchenko, daughter of missing chief engineer near scuba diver Mr Sabir Bux through e-mail on Tuesday .

After losing confidence from Paradip Port Trust authority, daughter of missing chief engineer has appealed near squab diver by writing a sensitive letter to rescue his father from sinking vessel. Similarly, our Ukrainian Consul Mr Oleg is also ready to support you if he can step to rescue my father from sunken vessel. On behalf of family members, another girl Sofiya who is looking for daughter of missing engineer has also appealed Mr Bux and has also sent request letter to the authority of Paradip Port fro obtaining permission to start rescue operation .

Alexandra Ilyushchenko, daughter of missing chief engineer has sent this request letter as -, My name is Alexandra Ilyschenko. I am the daughter of the missing Chief Engineer (Ukrainian National) of MV Black Rose which sunk off the Paradip port on September 9.The captain of the vessel had given a SOS, the coast guard and port’s rescue team took measures to rescue the crew of which 26 crew members out of 27 were rescued. One crew member, that is my father Oleksander Ilyushchenko, is still not found and I would like to ask you to help me as I hope that he is still alive.”

In another letter , Alexandra ‘s friend Sofiya has also shocked on the activities of port authority to file lodge an FIR in local police station against Mr Bux for diving on sea to rescue Alexabdra ‘s father who has been missing on sunken vessel since one week. She says by e-mail letter that ‘we understand your situation and very sorry that not your (Indian), not our (Ukranian) authorities are not supporting you enough in this operation.’Our Ukranian Consul Mr Oleg is ready to support you if he can do it. But he refused to send to you the official request and he is not responsible for this. We will try to find another way to give permission to rescue chief engineer from this vessel.’

Hapless Mr Bux has expressed his sorrow for not rescuing missing chief engineer after receiving request letter from engineer’s daughter and colleagues. He is fully prepared to rescue Ukraine engineer from sunken vessel but non cooperation from PPT authority and lodging FIR against has completely harassed him. “I still suspect Ukraine engineer is alive and might have taken shelter inside the sunken ship. But if PPT and coast guard authority would not take any steps to rescue missing engineer in right time so his life would be at risk after one week of the mishap. - He said. Engineer‘s daughter request letter has forced him enter into sea to rescue the life of human being so it is not crime fro a diver – he expressed in full of sorrow.

On the other hand, rescued crew members have expressed their sorrow that PPT and Coast Guard and the CISF personnel were conducting rescue operations from close proximity of the sunken ship since one week but they have not yet reached the ship to locate the missing chief engineer. District superintendent of police , Mr S.Debatta. Singh has expressed that marine police has received an FIR from PPT authority so police has asked the authority of PPT to show the property which comes under the act for violating the costal security and illegal entry. He said that case will be registered against scuba diver after obtaining the clarification from PPT authority.

Being harassed by PPT authority, scuba diver Mr Bux has met and sought the intervention MP Mr Pyarimohan Mohapatra to take steps for giving permission towards rescue operation to locate chief engineer on sunken vessel. Mr Mohapatra has given const to talk with the officials of ministry of shipping, government of India to give permission for rescue operation after receiving letter from the daughter of missing engineer.
