New Delhi: PNG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan participated in RathaJatra at Jagannath Temple in Hauzkhas, Tyagraj Nagar in New Delhi. Minister Pradhan performed the ritual sweeping – Chhera Pahanra – during Ratha Jatra at Mahaprabhu Jagannath Temple in Hauzkhas New Delhi.
Pradhan and devotees present at the venue pulled the chariot, as it is believed that doing so adds to your good Karma, and is penance for your bad deeds.
Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Manoj Tewari also participatedin the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Delhi on Sunday. The celebrations, which were flagged off from Jagannath Temple in Hauz Khas, saw thousands of devotes throng the temple premise to attain the blessings of the lord on the auspicious occasion.
Thousands of devotees participated in the Ratha Jatra festival. They pulled the three majestic chariots — Nandighosa (Lord Jagannath), Taladwaja (Balabhadra) and Darpadalan (Subhadra)
about three kilometres from the main temple, on Sunday.
