Pithampur to be developed as model industrial area: Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan

 

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Pithampur will be developed as a model industrial area. The demand for making Pithampur a tehsil will be completed in November itself. A proposal will be passed in this connection in the next Cabinet meeting. CM Shri Chouhan was addressing a gathering at the bhoomi-pujan programme of Prime Minister’s Urban Housing Scheme and Antyodaya Mela organized in industrial area Pithampur of Dhar district today.

CM Shri Chouhan said that a network of small and cottage industries will be laid in the state to provide employment to youths. State government has made a capital venture fund of Rs 100 crores with Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojana. He called upon youths to set an example by setting up their own enterprise and provide jobs to others.

The Chief Minister performed bhoomi-pujan and dedicated 27 works of Rs 55.41 crores at the Antyodaya Mela. He also performed bhoomi-pujan of the construction work of 1000 houses under Prime Minister’s Urban Housing Scheme. He distributed benefits worth Rs 70 crores to nearly 4 thousand 500 beneficiaries of various schemes. Shri Chouhan announced making the Majre-tolas of Pithampur area revenue village and construction of a 1 km road from Khandwa village to Fourlane near Pithampur.

Malti-Mohan Patel, Union Cooperative Bank President Shri Rajiv Yadav were present on the occasion.
