One killed in Bhadrak due to Cyclone Phailin

Report by Mohd Niyaz, Bhadarak: One person killed today in Bhadrak due to Cyclone ‘Phailin’. Sheikh Raju from 28 ward of Bhadrak Municipality drowned the river Salanadi near Dhanathola bridge.
It may be noted that cyclone Phailin affected 12 districts of Odisha, where many as 80.53 lakh people have been hit. Ganjam, where the cyclone hit the land, was the worst hit district followed by Puri.
Other coastal districts Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Gajapati, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Keonjhar, Kandhmal and Nayagarh, were, however, less harmed
