Odisha: Workshop on ‘entrepreneurship and employment in sagy adopted villages’

 Bhubaneswar: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in collaboration with the Indo European Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises (IECSME) organized a day long workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Employment Opportunities in SAGY adopted Villages of Odisha” on 29th August, 2017. The High Commissioner Of Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Philipp Le Gall was invited as the Guest of Honor where Dr. Damodar Rout, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Odisha was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
Other dignitaries on the dais were Dr. R.S. Rathore, Director Skill Development Cell, AICTE, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE, Vijay Tiwari, President, IECSME, Jubilee Sundaray, State Coordinator, IECSME, Ollywood Actresses Barsha Priyadarshini and Archita Sahoo.
AICTE in collaboration with IECSME through various sessions in the workshop demonstrated the road map for creating Entrepreneurship and Employment opportunities in the 29 subjects of Panchayati Raj in the SAGY adopted villages by Hon’ble Members of Parliament. Not only this AICTE also took the opportunity to announce, Barsha Priyadarshini as the brand Ambassador of Clean Campus, Archita Sahoo, Brand Ambassador of Startup India and also announced Dipti Ranjan Martha, VP, IECSME as the Brand Ambassador of ‘Develop Village Develop Nation’. The various subjects that were discussed in the seminar were Role of Educational Institutes in Community Development, Skill Development Initiatives and Architectural Design of Ancient Indian Villages.
When asked by Media about the new policies or reforms undertaken by AICTE, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, said, “We have launched a platform called Swayam for young aspiring minds. This platform has 700 courses right now and 1.6 lakh students have already registered. These courses are provided by the best faculty in India from IITs and therefore, the quality of education through these courses will improve for all.”
