Bhubaneswar: Odisha Woman Fide Master Saina Salonika wins U-16 girls’ rapid title with 6 points out of a possible 7 in Asian Youth Chess Championship at Chiangmai, Thailand on April 1, 2018.She scored six points out of seven rounds.
Nomindalai Tumurbatar of Mongolia and Mahdavi Mahadis of Iran got the silver and bronze medal, respectively, by scoring 5.5 points each.
This is the 13th international medal for Saina. Daughter of Ganeswar Jena and Babita Jena, Saina is now a Class-X student of the KIIT International School, Bhubaneswar.
