Report by Akshya Rout; Jajpur: Police have arrested on Saturday a stone-quarry mafia on the charges of attacking a reporter of Zee Kalinga TV news channel Sandpit Roy on Friday while he was filming illegal quarry work at
Dankani hillock under Jenapur police station of Jajpur district.
The arrested man was threatening him to kill by holding two sharp weapons which was filmed by the injured reporter. On Friday he filed an FIR against the attackers. Acting on the FIR , police arrested Rabindra Das one of the attackers under sections- 341, 294, 506 and 34 of IPC. Police are investigating the case, said Gopal Krushna Patnaik the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Jajpur.
